MyGeoPosition.com will shut down on September 15th 2018. Forever? Who knows.
Google has changed its Google API pricing structure. Free map views were cut from 750.000 to 28.000 per month (-96%), the price of additional 1000 map views went up from $0.5 to $7 (+1300%). With the new structure, I'd have to pay x times as much as I earn via advertising per month. Hence, I sadly have to close this beloved project.
It has been a great time since the launch in 2007 and I really enjoyed this project. Rest in peace, MyGeoPosition.com!

UPDATE 19/09/2018: Thanks for the large amount of feedback I received in the last week. It was overwhelming to see how many people have been using MyGeoPosition.com constantly.
There might be a slight chance I will switch to AppleMaps at some point of time and revamp MyGeoPosition.com.
But since my time is quite limited at the moment I cannot make any estimations about if and when this might happen.
